An individual penetration depth can be selected on the lancing device, with 10 gradations to choose from. This allows you to decide for yourself what depth is best for obtaining a blood drop of the right size. As big as necessary, as small as possible.
The ejection button prevents puncture injuries with the used lancet.
How to use:
- Clean the puncture site with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Warm water stimulates blood flow and makes it easier to obtain a blood sample.
- Let your arm hang at your side for 10 to 15 seconds and massage from the wrist to the ball of the thumb and fingers. This also stimulates blood flow.
- Unscrew the adjustable cap from the lancing device and insert the lancet by pressing firmly until it stops.
- Unscrew the protective cap from the lancet. Screw the adjustable cover cap back onto the finger prick in a clockwise direction.
- Adjust the puncture depth on the adjustable cap (1 is shallowest, 10 is deepest).
- Hold the finger stick firmly with one hand and pull the tail cap back with the other hand until you hear a click and the finger stick is tight.
- The release button is now red, so you can always tell if the finger stick is ready to draw blood.
- If the trigger button is not red, pull the tailcap again until the trigger button turns red.
- Press lancing device sideways against fingertip and press release button to prick.
