INDICATIONS
Prophylaxis of Deep Vein Thrombosis in surgical patients and in patients who require long periods of immobilization.
MODE OF ACTION
It continuously provides a decreasing pressure gradient from distal to proximal, from 22 mmHg at level "b", ankle, to 12 mmHg at level 2g", thigh, with a pressure drop from 60%
DURATION OF THE APPLICATION
During the day and night, from days to weeks, depending on the patient's risk of developing Deep Vein Thrombosis.
Its main features are:
- It does not move, does not fall or form folds, thanks to its non-slip band on the thigh (even when the patient begins to perform early mobilization exercises).
- It allows a practical follow-up, since the opening on the back of the fingers allows to control the correct blood circulation and facilitates palpations easily and quickly.
- Great anatomical adaptation, thanks to its special fabric with high elasticity in two directions, longitudinal and transversal, which makes the stocking fit perfectly to the leg.
- It continuously provides a decreasing pressure gradient from distal to proximal, giving the maximum pressure of 18mmHg in the ankle.
- Comfortable, pleasant to the skin and to the touch:
- Circular fabric without seams.
- Air-permeable fabric, which allows good ventilation, prevents the accumulation of heat and does not irritate the skin.
- Anti-slip band on the thigh, prevents the stocking from moving, falling or forming folds (even when the patient begins to perform early mobilization exercises).
- Separately knitted heel:
- Allows easy and correct placement of the stocking.
- Prevents constriction and slippage of the dorsal area.
- Reduces wear by friction, extending the duration of the stocking.
- High stretchability, easy to put on and change.
