Details
How is the self-diagnostic test performed?
- Blow your nose several times and wash your hands before taking the sample.
- Open the extraction solution, and pour out its contents in the extraction tube.
- Carefully insert the swab into one nostril (minimum 2.5 cm deep) and rotate it 3-4 times across the entire nasal mucosa.
- Repeat step 3 in the other nostril.
- Introduce the swab with the extracted sample into the extraction tube, and rotate it 3-5 times.
- Leave the swab in the collection tube for 1 minute.
- Remove the swab carefully by pressing the tube with your fingers.
- Place the dropper cap on the collection tube.
- Place the cassette in a suitable place and pour 3 drops of the sample into the sample well (S) by gently pressing the extraction tube.
- Wait for the results.
Interpretation of results:
The test result is shown after 15-20 minutes:
Positive:if two colored lines appear, one in the control area (C) and another in the test area (T), the result is valid and positive. Note that a positive result does not rule out co-infection with other pathogens.
Negative: if a colored line appears in the control zone (C) but no no colored line is observed in the test zone (T), the test is valid and negative. Please note that a negative result does not exclude a SARS-CoV-2 and viral infection. in case of suspicion of COVID-19, the result must be confirmed by molecular diagnostic methods (consult your doctor or health center).
