INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Prior preparation for carrying out the test:

1. Clear, clean and dry A flat surface.
2. Check the contents of the test kit
3. Make sure it is not damaged or broken.
4. Keep a stopwatch handy.
5. Blow your nose several times before taking the sample.
6. Wash your hands.

Procedure for carrying out the test:

1. Open the extraction solution without bringing it close to the face and trying not to spill any liquid.
2. Pour the entire contents of the extraction solution into the extraction tube. CAUTION: Avoid contact between the two containers.
3. Open the swab package and remove it carefully, without touching the soft textile tip of the swab with your hands.
4. Carefully insert the swab into one nostril. The tip of the swab should be inserted at least 2.5 cm deep from the edge of the nostril. Rotate it along the nasal mucosa of the nostril to ensure that both mucus and cells are collected. Rotate the swab 3 or 4 times. Leave the swab inside the nostril for a few seconds. Repeat the procedure with the same swab in the other nostril.
5. Introduce the swab with the sample into the extraction tube. Then rotate the swab three to five (3-5) times. Leave the swab in the extraction buffer for 1 minute.
6. Compress the collection tube with your fingers, then remove the solution from the swab as best you can by pulling it off and discard.
7. Place the dropper cap on the extraction tube.
8. Place the test cassette on a flat, smooth surface. CAUTION: The test cassette must be used immediately after opening.
9. Invert the extraction tube and place 3 drops (75 microliters) of the sample into the sample well (S) by lightly squeezing the extraction tube. CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid bubbles forming in the sample well (S).
10. The result is displayed after 15 minutes. If more than 20 minutes pass, the result can be falsified.
11. Next, discard the test and all the utensils that we have used for the test in the domestic waste container, following the protocol established by the health authorities.
12. It should not be deposited at the SIGRE point of the pharmacy, nor on public roads.

Interpretation of results:

NEGATIVE: If within 15 to 20 minutes a colored line in the control zone (C) but no colored line is observed in the test zone (T), the test is valid and negative. A negative result does not exclude a SARS-CoV-2 viral infection and, in case of suspicion of COVID-19, it must be confirmed by molecular diagnostic methods.

POSITIVE: If two colored lines appear within 15 minutes, one in the control zone (C) and the other in the test zone (T), the test is valid and positive. The result is considered positive no matter how faint the colored line in the test zone (T) is. A positive result does not exclude coinfection with other pathogens.

INVALID: If no colored line appears in the control area (C) within 15 minutes, the test is invalid. Repeat the test with a new test cassette.
