Description
The Scots pine produces an essential oil known for a long time by our grandmothers who, in the past, inhaled this essential oil from the Nordic climates to benefit from its balsamic action on the bronchi. It grows in the mountains, on sandy or gravelly soils. It has a purplish gray bark, rigid acicular leaves, with yellow male flowers, red female flowers and a green ovoid cone that tends to brown when ripe.
