NUTROF OMEGA has been designed to complement the daily needs of essential fatty acids of the omega-3 family and the included group of vitamins, trace elements, as well as carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin, glutathione and olive polyphenols. Sufficient provision of these through the diet, supplementing it when necessary, favors correct ocular functionalism. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid that constitutes an important part of the retinal structure and, therefore, plays a role in visual development and normal ocular functionality. Vitamins C and E ensure antioxidant protection of the body's cells. Vitamin B9 (folic acid) contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine and Vitamin B6 helps maintain the correct functioning of the defense system. Lutein together with Zeaxanthin actively accumulate in the healthy macula to reach the highest concentration of carotenoids in the human body, to protect the eye from the effects caused by visible light. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
