MEPENTOL is indicated for the prevention and treatment of stage I and II pressure ulcers. The hyperoxygenated fatty acids that make up its formulation, obtained by a particular hyperoxygenation process: favor epidermal cell renewal, improving skin resistance and facilitating healing; they restore the hydrolipidic film avoiding skin dehydration; they create an antimicrobial barrier that protects the ulcerated area from external agents and improves blood microcirculation; They prevent damage caused by an increase in free radicals, thanks to their antioxidant activity. MEPENTOL also contains Equisetum arvense, familiarly known as Horsetail, which improves skin elasticity and tone, while Hypericum perforatum (or St. John's Wort) prevents and normalizes erythema and has soothing and dermoprotective activity. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Prevention and Treatment of Stage I Pressure Ulcers: After having carried out the usual cleaning cures, apply MEPENTOL 2 or 3 times a day, on the risk areas or affected by the ulcer, spreading the product with the fingertips. The use of gloves is recommended for this operation.

ADVICE:

Accompany the use of MEPENTOL with postural changes and other prevention practices It can prevent the formation of skin ulcers.

Treatment of Stage II Pressure Ulcers: After having carried out the usual cleaning cures, apply MEPENTOL directly on the ulcer, or on sterile gauze, which is then applied on the ulcer. Cover the ulcer with the help of an appropriate bandage. Repeat the application 2 or 3 times a day until complete healing. The use of gloves is recommended for this operation.
