The tip is one of the most important elements of the cane. Its manufacturing material is rubber. They help the cane to have more grip on the ground, making its use safer, avoiding falls and other types of incidents, and providing better balance.
With the tips, better support is achieved, thus ensuring that the cane does its proper function, being a safe and effective point of support.
They are a totally necessary complement for those who use a cane, since they improve and perfect its qualities.
In addition, the tips also prevent the noise that the cane could produce when it comes into contact with the ground.
It is advisable to check the tip periodically, since it is the part of the cane that suffers the most wear. If the cane is used frequently, the base of the tip wears down and loses grip. At this point, it is advisable to change the tip so as not to lose support security. In the same way, it must be taken into account if the neck of the ferrule has cracks and the rigidity of the material with which it is made, since if it is very rigid it can slip.
On the other hand, it is also a good idea to check if there are any gaps between the tip and the cane tube, since the tip could come off and cause a fall.
The ferrules are placed very easily. You would simply have to lift the cane, remove the worn tip and place the new one on the end.
