Damira, from daily clinical experience. The Damira brand arises from the union between reason and emotion with which we make all our products. Rightly so, since we have extensive experience as a dairy company since 1933 and we belong to the world's leading group of dairy products. We have a long history in feeding children with allergies and also healthy children. With emotion regarding the responsibility and affection that we put into the care of the baby for its correct feeding and growth. For us, reason and emotion are needed, they are inseparable.
Our history began a long time ago, like that of any other family. It has its beginning in Switzerland in 1865 and by the hand of Dr. Georg Wander, a chemist who is very concerned about malnutrition and infant feeding.
We were the first to supplement infant milk with essential nutrients such as carnitine, taurine, selenium, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) Omega 3, Alpha-lactalbumin or lactoferrin. We no longer wanted to just nourish the children, but to help them with all those conditions that involved their digestive tract.
Currently, Damira is part of the Lactalis Group, a family business based in Laval, which guarantees the utmost respect for people, transparent objectives, known and shared by all its employees, and responsible management that is supports clear objectives and concrete means. Lactalis is the world's leading dairy group, with 236 work centers in 44 countries and 75,000 employees, 2,500 of whom are in Spain.
In Spain, Lactalis is present with brands such as Puleva, Lauki, Chufi, Président, Galbani, El Castillo, Ram, Societé, Gran Capitán, Flor de Esgueva and El Ventero.
We are committed to consumers to offer a high level of excellence in quality, to continue researching to provide innovative products that allow the baby to be nourished in any circumstance in which it is found.
In the case of formulas intended for to children with allergies to cow's milk protein, at DAMIRA we systematically use the ELISA test and exhaustively record the traceability of our products and the ingredients they contain.
