Description
Sterile, waterproof barrier: Protects the wound or IV insertion point from external contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, blood and body fluids. In vitro testing demonstrates that the clear sheet provides a barrier against viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger if the dressing remains intact and leak-free. The breathable sheet allows oxygen to enter and moist vapor to escape. The frame style of the dressing allows for easy, precise application and reduces the chance of it sticking to gloves or yourself.

- The breathable sheet allows oxygen to enter and humid vapor to escape
- The frame style of the dressing allows for easy, precise application and reduces the chance of it sticking to gloves or yourself
- Transparent dressing allows continuous visualization of the IV insertion point
- The dressing flexes with the skin to give the patient more comfort
- Can last up to seven days
- Radiological transparency. Tegaderm products can be left on the patient's skin during radiotherapy treatments. The dressing does not act as a bolus material, with or without 3M™ Cavilon™ non-irritating barrier film
- Can be used to maintain a moist environment to facilitate autolytic debridement
- Helps prevent skin erosion caused by friction
